Forestry & Arboriculture Certificate

Bicton College Bicton LEVEL: 2 Horticulture, Floristry & Arboriculture

Arboriculture (or tree surgery) is the perfect career if you have a good head for heights, love working outdoors and wish to help conserve and protect trees. As an arboriculturist you will be responsible for cultivating and managing shrubs, hedgerows and trees, in both rural and urban settings and will be involved in all aspects of felling, preserving, planting and protecting trees.

We offer two options for you to gain a career in the arboriculture industry depending on your GCSE results. Our Level 3 course offers you the choice of university study or employment on completion of your course. Our Level 2 course is ideal should your GCSE results not be what you expected with the option to progress to Level 3.

The extensive Bicton College estate is the perfect setting to hone your forestry and arboriculture skills. Home to over 200 hectares of extensive parklands, an arboretum housing specimen trees, machinery workshops and opportunities to develop your tree climbing techniques, Bicton College will give you all the in-depth knowledge you need to start your career as an arboriculturist.
