Ideal if:

You have achieved the Level 2 qualification or equivalent and wish to further your career with horses.

You’ll need:

You will need to be 16 year's old or above and already hold an Equine related qualification at Level 2 or equivalent.

You will need to have 4 GCSE's at grade C and above to include maths and English.

You should be able to confidently secure a position in walk, trot and canter and should have experience of riding, jumping and looking after stabled horses.

There is a 13 stone weight limit.

If you are regularly riding and looking after stabled horses, this would be an advantage.

  • Riding hat
  • Riding boots
  • Yard boots e.g. wellies
  • Jodphurs
  • Chaps
  • Wet weather gear
  • Body protector needed for jumping and hacking rough

Uniform is available.

You’ll learn:

This course is intensive and requires dedication to all aspects of horse management throughout the year.

Expect:

Your riding ability to be assessed at interview.

It is compulsory to have a 1 day work placement per week.
