Bicton EaRTH is a fully approved HETAS training Centre. We deliver the HETAS H005DE (Direct Entry) Biomass Installer and H005DE Bridging training courses.
Biomass appliances and systems are becoming increasingly popular. These HETAS courses enable installers to develop the knowledge and skills required to select, install, commission, service and maintain biomass appliances in accordance with the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). Successful completion of the H005DE biomass training course allows HETAS registrants to extend their cope of registration with HETAS on the competent persons registration scheme. The course can also be used as part of the criteria for approval with HETAS as a Microgeneration Certification installer for biomass.
The H005DE courses covers a similar syllabus to the old HETAS H005-Biomass Appliance Installer Course but with a one day addition, which covers Building Regulations & Standards. It focuses on appliances up to 45kW heat input rating including log, pellet and chip appliances suitable for the domestic RHI. However the course content is typically relevant for appliances up to 100kW heat input rating.
For candidates who have successfully completed the H005 or H005BR course prior to December 2013 you are eligible to undertake a 2 Day H005DE Bridging Course with us to update your competence to the new H005DE standards for MCS and the Domestic RHI. The dates for bridging courses are the Wednesday and Thursday of the advertised H005DE courses below. Please contact us if you require further information and to confirm entry requirements.
