Uniformed Services Diploma Level 1

Emergency and Military Students This is a foundation course providing a fantastic opportunity for learners who are interested in progressing on to a level 2 course in Sport, Outdoors or the Military and Protective Services. There is a very large practical element to the course including aspects of fitness and team sports, all designed to give them a flavour of the three sectors , and to develop confidence and teamwork. For learners wanting to apply for one of the military or protective services, it will give them the opportunity to prepare for the recruitment process or provide a basis for further study and progression.

What you will learn

All learners will complete the following units that are designed to give them insight into the 3 areas of Sport, Outdoors and Military and Protective Services.

• Investigate employment opportunities in the uniformed services.
• Team working skills in the uniformed services.
• Developing self-discipline for the uniformed services.
• Health and safety in the uniformed services.
• Participate in competitive sport.
• Participate in an Adventurous activity.
• Well-being and physical fitness for the uniformed services.
