Who is this course for?
This qualification is suitable for job roles in any sector that involve management and leadership responsibilities. At this level, the learner can expect to be a middle manager and thus hold a more central management role in an organisation.
Entry requirements
There are no formal qualifications required, but the candidate should be working as a senior manager or in a strategic position within a company as the qualification is designed to recognise occupational competence in Management and Leadership. It allows learners to apply knowledge, understanding and skills to a national occupational level required by employers, thus proving competency in their job role.
What will I be doing on the course?
This course is 12-18 months, and consists of:
- Developing and evaluating operational plans
- Providing leadership and direction
- Planing change
- Working productively with colleagues and stakeholders
- A number of optional units
This qualification has been accredited within the Qualification and Credit Framework and candidates are assessed using evidence from the workplace. Candidates will provide evidence of their capability, knowledge and understanding; which will be discussed on a unit by unit basis with an experienced assessor. Additional evidence will be gathered through observational performance, physical products of work (such as reports, plans, correspondence, etc) and witness testimony.
The assessor will support the candidate throughout the qualification.
