Course Studied: Marine Leisure Management Foundation Degree

I was walking past the College and they were having an Open Event and I had been thinking of doing a university degree so I popped in.
I had been working in London for 25 years and wanted a change of career and to stop commuting. When I saw the different modules on the Marine Leisure Management Foundation Degree and the amount of time spent on the water I know it was the right course.
Falmouth Marin School is a great place to study; it's very personable and has a strong community atmosphere with focused and targeted lectures, and small class groups. Once I complete my two years here, I wish to go to the University of Plymouth for one more year to gain the BSc in Applied Marine Sport Science. I'd like to become a teacher or instructor and work on and off the water.
I'm really enjoying being back in education and gaining new skills. I've definitely had to rise to the occasion of looking after four young children and being in full-time study, (a fantastic wife helps) but it's worth it! Live life to the full, as it is not a dress rehearsal!
