Course Studied: Marine Science Foundation Degree

I'd just come back from travelling and wanted to do study a university course in marine science but didn't want to commit to four years of study. The Foundation Degree at Falmouth Marine School was perfect as it is the only one in the country that is two years. After the two years I can chose whether to do a further year or go abroad or get a job with a recognised qualification - the choice is mine. I already have a marine science background as a dive master and an outdoor education teacher and this course was a natural progression as I was keen to know more about what I was seeing in the sea. It's great to study something which I love and am learning a huge amount every day. The location is also great as we are so near the water the course is a lot more practical than others. I'd like to go back to a career in outdoor education and it will be even better with the knowledge and security of a degree behind me.
