I had been looking at boatbuilding courses in Pembrokeshire and went to the London Boat Show at Excel and heard about the course at Falmouth Marine School. I had been living in London for a while and was keen to come back to Cornwall. Although the course in Pembrokeshire was free this one seemed much more in-depth, plus there is more industry in Falmouth, so I'd have a better chance of getting a job at the end of it. I am really enjoying learning woodwork techniques and about boats and the construction and engineering side. The College is a really nice, relaxed and friendly place to study which really suites me. I am doing two days a week work experience so I might get offered a full-time job once the course is finished.
