Students enjoyed an evening of entertainment with a live acoustic performance from Adam Issac; a star of BBC One's television talent show ‘The Voice'. Live band Rhythm Roulette took to the stage and students and staff took to the dance floor for an evening of entertainment and excitement. Students were treated to a hog roast, ice cream van, candy floss and hot donuts to get them through the evening, and in a college first, students were given full access to the dodgem cars which added to the electrifying atmosphere of the evening.

Sharrie Humphreys, Student Services, commented on the event: "This year the theme of the evening was ‘Great Britain', and with a marquee that was bigger than ever before it was a fantastic turnout. I would like to thank everyone involved, especially to Adam Issac and Rhythm Roulette who made the entertainment exceptional. The summer ball is a fantastic opportunity to get everyone together to celebrate the year. It was a great evening and something the students look forward to every year."

Andrew Counsell, Head of Duchy College, said: "It is fantastic that all the students celebrate their achievements by letting their hair down with this amazing event. I would like to thank everyone involved for making this event memorable, something the students will look back on in future years."
