Duchy College Military Academy

Duchy College has worked in partnership with Army Recruitment since 2002 delivering highly successful Army Preparation courses designed to prepare applicants in all respects for Army selection and basic military training.  Building on this experience and utilising the skills, qualities and previous military service of its highly experienced lecturing team Duchy College is introducing a Military Academy from September 2012.  The academy will be open for students wishing to prepare for entry to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, Army or Royal Air force.

Students will be able to access courses at Levels 1, 2, and 3.  The Level 1 and 3 courses are both full time and run for one academic year starting in September and finishing the following June.  The Level 2 Military Academy course is 16 weeks full time and runs twice per year with entry in September or February.  The courses are progressive therefore students can progress from Level 1 to Level 2 and then to Level 3 or they can complete any course and apply for entry to an Armed Service of their choice.

All courses follow a Military style syllabus and encompass elements of physical fitness training, outdoor education, Military skills training and theoretical modules designed to prepare students for specific entry, fitness and selection tests.
