PUBLIC SERVICES
The department for Public Services has an excellent history of success, with students achieving high standards in many diverse career areas. These include the police force, fire brigade, ambulance service, armed forces, as well as specialists in indoor and outdoor pursuits.
There is a wide range of outdoor activities, which will form a major part of training for many of the courses. The department also offers a genuine basic recruitment test that is used by the Royal Navy and has many visits from a wide range of armed forces personnel as well as residential opportunities for further experience and training.
Opportunities are also available for students to take part in the Ten Tors Expedition and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, giving you a real taste of the exciting and challenging life with a career in public services.
