LANGUAGE STUDIES
With ever increasing ease of travel, trade barriers coming down in Europe and a shrinking global marketplace brought about by better communications, the need for a solid base in languages is becoming ever more important. Many employers are now looking for more rounded abilities and the addition of a language to your portfolio can provide opportunities both in this country and abroad.
The language department is based in its own dedicated building, providing a close-knit community that encourages social interaction and a relaxed atmosphere for learning at your own pace where you can freely practise and develop your language skills.
You will benefit from learning a range of languages with our highly skilled lecturers, many of whom are native speakers, ensuring you get advice on accents from an expert as well as first hand feel for the culture and history of the language of your choice!
Courses are offered at various levels, either as part-time, full-time or through distance learning and flexible study programmes. We also offer professional in-house training on a bespoke basis for clients, including the Eden Project.
