IT & COMPUTING
Based in the College's £5million Learning Centre, the department for IT & Computing offers students a state of the art environment in which to train for fast moving and often lucrative careers.
The department is fully equipped with the latest information and communications technology, over 300 computers are available, all with full high speed internet access, and students are supported by highly trained lecturers who are CISCO/Microsoft accredited and specialists in the field.
Programmes offered by the department are available at various levels to suit the initial skill levels, and requirements of the student. From basic computer operating to areas such as web design and onto more advanced realms of programming and hardware design, students will gain skills and experience aimed at allowing progression to further studies at higher levels or employment.
Since 2003 Cornwall College has been a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) for computer skills. The college has been awarded £500,000 to build upon our extensive IT training and to increase skills in Computer Networking.
