FOUNDATION STUDIES
The department for Foundation Studies provides education for a wide variety of students that require that little bit of extra support. Set in a dedicated building, Trevithick Court, the department provides a safe and supportive environment. With small groups, excellent support and pastoral care there is also additional support available where necessary from all of our team who are vocationally trained.
A wide range of subjects are now available within the department including: horticulture, catering animal care, art, craft and retail. With tailor made programmes to suit your individual needs.
As the department's title suggests, the aim of the courses provided is all about laying foundations, throughout your course you will benefit from the support of highly qualified staff, specialist lecturers and great real work training facilities. So whatever your personal goal, be it progression to further education, work-based training or full employment, we will be there to support you every step of the way.
