Engineering is a multi-faceted industry that includes computer aided design, computerised numerical control, IT design & maintenance, engineering manufacturing, marine engineering, mechanical, electrical & electronic engineering, fabrication and welding.
Housed within the new dedicated £5million building, modern workshops and laboratories provide the mixture of hi-tech and practical resources required by today's engineering students. Leading edge industry standard facilities including a computer aided design suite, electronics and computer maintenance laboratories and welding, mechanical and electrical workshops.
The department enjoys outstanding links with industry that ensure students excellent opportunities for workplace experience, employment and career development. The department has recently received a national Beacon Award for its work with Pendennis Shipyard, Falmouth, and runs innovative work-based programmes with a range of local engineering companies.
