Cream of Cornwall Celebrate
Student professionals from the across Cornwall have been celebrating success at the Cornwall College Professional Awards Graduation Ceremony.
The graduates, who have been studying for professional qualifications in Accountancy, Management and Law, turned out in force for the graduation, donning cap and gown for the ceremony.
Graduating from West Cornwall were: Judith Rowe from Truro, Stephanie Crocker from Scorrier and Susan Atkinson from St Agnes who all gained the Strategic Management & Leadership Level 7 (CMI); Jade Beland from Redruth and Sharon Leverton from Leedstown who gained the Law ILEX Higher Professional Diploma Level 6; Sandra Sly from Truro who gained the Management & Leadership Level 5 (CMI); Susan Mills and Debra Morris from Camborne, Truro's Deborah Cortes and Denise Pryor and Sharon Lovatt from Newquay all gained the AAT Technician Level 4.
Proud families gathered in Cornwall College Camborne's Penhaligon Centre to watch the group collect their well deserved certificates from Dave Linnell OBE, Principal of Cornwall College.
Dave Linnell said: "The number of students graduating this year is testament to their commitment to the principles of continuous professional development and excellence in the fields of accounting, management and law. At Cornwall College we continually strive to ensure that the professional qualifications we offer are relevant and meet the needs and increasing demands of the business community. Congratulations to all of our graduates."
Among the graduates were two members of staff from Cornwall College Camborne; Anthea Rowley, Head of Faculty for Health, Social Care, Public Services & Sport; and Helen Opie, Curriculum Area Manager for Professional Studies. Both gained the Strategic Management & Leadership Level 7 (CMI).
