CURRENTLY WORKING OR VOLUNTERRING WITH CHILDREN?

If you're currently working or volunterring within the children and young people's workforce in an assistants or supporting role and want to further your knowledge, skills and expertise within this industry, study the Children and Young People's Workforce City & Guilds Certificate Level 2 and Diploma Level 3 at Cornwall College St Austell this September.
Both courses are studied on a part-time basis, one day a week, to fit around work and family commitments and are considered the benchmark qualifications for those working in a childcare or nursery setting.
During each course learners will study core units including child development, play, health & safety, creativity and creative learning and personal development.
Remission will be available for those people who are working towards their first Level 2 or Level 3 qualification if they are under 24. Those in receipt of certain benefits may also qualify.
Upon completion of the Level 3 course learners may progress onto other professional management and Foundation Degree options through Cornwall College.
