Course Studied: Watersports National Diploma
After graduating, Louise secured a place at Swansea University on the Sport Science BSc but decided to take a year out to work abroad for TJM in Spain teaching kids watersports. Eventually the pull of Cornwall was too much and she returned home and began work with the RNLI as a lifeguard.
In 2001, Louise became the BLU British Champion. She was able to travel the world once more visiting world surfing hot spots as a competitor, aided by the sponsorship from companies and magazines she gained through her win.
"It was really great to come back to Cornwall I was able to work as a lifeguard all the while keeping up my longboarding."
