Neil Atkinson

Neil Atkinson

Neil served in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for 23 years reaching the rank of Warrant Officer Class 1. As part of his role in the Army he had been an instructor for many years and enjoyed the teaching element of this.

In 2008 Neil left the forces and started teacher training at Cornwall College. He is currently working at the college as a specialist teacher of Motor Vehicle Technology and has recently taken on management responsibility as a Curriculum Co-ordinator. The learning never stops for Neil who is now also working towards a specialist Maths teaching diploma.

Neil says “I enjoyed the training experience – we had a diverse group from different backgrounds and industries which enhances the peer learning, our course tutor was excellent and supported us all throughout”

Ian Noall
