DTTLS CERT. ED AND PGCE
Diploma in Teaching in the Life-long Learning Sector (DTTLS) incorporating the Certificate in Education (Cert. Ed) and the Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
These courses are specifically designed for people who have a commitment to working in Further Education, Community Education, Work-based Learning and similar settings.
The DTTLS Cert. Ed and PGCE courses prepare you to work as an effective and well-informed teacher in the Lifelong Learning sector. You will follow a programme of presentations, seminars, practical workshops, tutorials, lectures and directed study through our Learning Centre and virtual learning environment. You’ll undertake regular teaching practice where you will also get invaluable help from experienced teachers of your subject. Your personal tutor will support both parts of your training and will regularly observe you teaching.
You’ll be a trainee teacher at Cornwall College - one of the largest Further and Higher Education Colleges in the UK. You will experience the life of a teacher first-hand, giving you the best possible start to a successful teaching career.
One year full-time and two year part-time DTLLS Cert Ed and PGCE courses are taught at our centres in St Austell and Camborne. You can also study part-time at our centres in Saltash and Stoke Climsland.
