Access the New Art Course at Saltash
Cornwall College Saltash is set to extend its programme of Access courses as the campus prepares to offer the Access to Higher Education Diploma in Art and Design from the end of September.
The course, which is not offered by any other training provider in the area, will provide a stepping stone for those wanting to re-enter education with the aim of progressing onto university-level study. It will be run over two days and one evening a week.
Students will be able to gain a broad experience of different subjects and mediums and it will also provide the opportunity to identify an area of specialism most relevant to their aspirations and ability.
Gilly Hayles, Programme Manager for Art and Design at the College said: “It’s great to be able to offer the Access to Art and Design course here at Saltash and to be able to grow our provision from this September.”
Dave Linnell, Principal of Cornwall College added: “Our campus at Saltash has outstanding art facilities and supportive staff and this course is a fantastic qualification for those returning to learn or looking for that next step onto higher education.”
For a large number of people tuition is free (if you are on benefits or have a low income or this is the first time you have studied at this level). There is also additional financial support that may be available to you.
