Plan your future with Cornwall College Camborne
Cornwall College Camborne will be throwing open its doors on Thursday 2nd February to give prospective students the chance to explore the College and get the advice they need for their future career.
Those who attend the event, which runs from 5pm to 7.30pm at the College's Campus Central, will be able to get a feel for student life when they meet staff and students, visit departments and gather information from tutors on the range of courses and specialist facilities available at the College.
Visitors will also be offered financial advice, information on transport, learning support, student Xtra activities and the Academy Sports Programme as well as learning about various career options.
There will also be the opportunity to meet the team from dBs Music, who launched new courses in creative sound engineering and music, DJ and electronic music production, and music performance at Camborne last September that have proved to be a roaring success.
Grace Sycamore, 17 from Redruth and currently studying at Camborne, said: "I hope to go on to do a history degree at university and studying A-levels at Cornwall College has really given me a chance to broaden my opportunities for the future."
Cornwall College Camborne offers both full and part-time courses in Arts, Media & Publishing, Business Administration & Law, Construction, Planning & the Built Environment, Engineering & Manufacturing Technologies, Early Years, GCSEs & A-levels, Health, Public Services & Care, Information Technology, Leisure, Sport & Tourism, Retail & Commercial Enterprise, Science and Mathematics.
Part-time foundation degrees, designed to fit around work and family commitments, are also available in Business, Creative Arts & Media, Health, Teaching, Social Sciences, Hospitality & Tourism, IT, Engineering and Sport.
Students looking to start a degree course will have the opportunity to discuss tuition fees and their eligibility for financial aid through the College or government initiatives.
