Cornwall College Camborne has recently seen Don McKenzie take up post as the new Head of College.

Don is no stranger to the College as his previous post was Head of Retail at the Camborne campus. He has been based at Cornwall College for the past eight years and looks forward to a lengthy position as Head of College.  Coming from a catering and teaching background, Don is confident he can bring these disciplines into his new role.

Don said: "I am keen to get Cornwall College seen as a number one provider of education and making it recognisable in the community as a hub of excellence. One of my other goals for the College is to give some people the opportunity that they maybe haven't had before to further their education."

Having already working within the campus for a number of years, he knows the culture of the campus and has been witness to the changes that have been made under previous Head of College, Mike Lister. When talking about moving the College forward in the future, Donald said: "We have to get our reputation out there for all to hear, and make people realise that this is a great place to study and is on their doorstep. I would also like to build even more links with businesses so that more students can get practical learning through Cornwall College Camborne."

Dave Linnell, Principal of Cornwall College, said: "I am thrilled to welcome Donas the new Head of College at our Camborne campus. Following on from the progress made by his predecessor, Don has the enthusiasm to push the College forward. I wish him the very best of luck in his new role."
