Life's a beach for students

Falmouth Marine School students kicked off the start of term with an afternoon packed full of competitive fun. All students congregated at Gyllyngvase Beach for an exciting introduction to the Marine School and took part in activities including Tug of War, Rounders, Volleyball, Swimming and Frisbee.
Event organiser Lucy Rimmer said "This was a fantastic way for the students to socialise with each other, particularly as they are from different courses ranging from Health and Social Care to Marine Science. They took part in all the activities with great enthusiasm and this was just a taste of events to come in the future".
The games lasted from 12:00pm : 4:30pm with winning students being awarded boxes of chocolates for their efforts. The afternoon was rounded off with a beach BBQ.
