FREE 1-2 Hour Bitesize Courses offered at Saltash College
FREE taster 'Bitesize' classes for adults ranging from pottery, digital photography, gardening to pilates or even belly dancing will be on offer throughout October as part of Cornwall College's Bitesize learning.
Running from 6th October until 31st October, the courses will be held in the college as well as Saltash College's Learning shop and in various locations around Saltash.
Sponsored by the Learning and Skills Council, loads of courses are on offer and participants can take part in as many classes as they like. For those who get a taste for learning, there are various summer courses that are also on offer.
Steve Warnes, head of Saltash College comments, 'The 1-2 hour Bitesize Learning classes are an excellent way to learn a new skill in a fun learning environment. They will also give members of the community the chance to meet like minded people especially those who have been out of education for a while and may feel a little nervous about attending a college course.'
Hundreds of people took part in the Bitesize courses that took place earlier this year. One of the students who took part in Bitesize was Pam Salmon from Saltash. Pam who attended the Bitesize wine-tasting course comments, 'The course was very good, we learnt about wines from around the world and you didn't have to be a connoisseur to enjoy them. The tutor was excellent and the class was fun. I am looking forward to trying out more Bitesize classes in the future!'
