28 year old Jason Mallinder has achieved the Plumbline Student of the Year Award (level-3) for the best plumbing student in the County, after completing his Plumbing NVQ 3 course at Camborne Pool Redruth College.

Jason's final year of training, funded by the employment service, was co-ordinated by Cornwall College Training, the largest work-based training provider in the County. In addition to his NVQ, Jason has also gained certification in Gas Safety and Gas Appliances and is now working full-time as a plumbing & heating services engineer.

'Jason has shown a great deal of determination and commitment throughout his training with us, which has lead to a career opportunity with Ace Engineering in Newquay,' said Alison Beresford, Jason's Liaison Officer at Cornwall College Training.
