Five years old!

Penhaligon Counselling Agency this year celebrates five years of helping local people in Cornwall. The agency was set up five years ago to provide a service to Cornwall, and to give Counselling students at Cornwall Business School the opportunity to gain invaluable work experience in the profession.
"The service has grown in popularity since it was first opened in 1998, with calls from across Cornwall received each week." Said Maureen Mason, Co-ordinator of the Agency. "Anyone calling us is treated with professionalism, care and respect."
The agency is staffed by soon to be qualified counsellors, who are mature students from a range of backgrounds. As well as working at the agency they work as counsellors in doctors' surgeries, and in other agencies dealing with bereavement, abuse and domestic violence.
The Penhaligon Counselling Agency is going from strength to strength, with more calls received than ever before. There is a long list of satisfied customers, who have used the service. Feedback from one caller shows the significance of the help and support it offers. "My counsellor was very comfortable to talk to and she offered a lot of helpful comments. I managed to cover all my problems and would not hesitate to use the service again if I needed to." Another said "I found the experience invaluable. I am happy that I don't need the service at the moment, but am glad you were there when I did. Keep up the good work!".
