Animal Care Students Exam Success
Duchy College Rosewarne students are celebrating a 100 per cent pass rate in recent exams.
Students on the Level 2 National Certificate in Animal Care sat an externally set exam online, and all passed. Out of 37 students, six were awarded a distinction and 20 received a Merit for their efforts.
Topics covered in the exam were; Animal Health and Wellbeing, Feeding and Watering Animals, Safe Working with and Around Animals and Work Related Experience in the Land-based Sector.
Jodie Pascoe, 16, from Helston, Georgie Frost, 18, from Falmouth, and Hannah Torry, 16, from Camborne, are three of the students who were awarded a distinction.
Jodie Pascoe said: “I found the exam quite hard, so I was really surprised and pleased when I found out I had been awarded a distinction! I’m going to continue with my studies so I can work towards gain a career within the Animal Care industry.”
Dave Linnell OBE, Principal of Cornwall College of which Duchy College is part, said: “We are proud of the hard work and dedication our students have shown to their subject. We would like to congratulate them for their results and wish them every success for their future studies and careers.”
