CORNWALL College St Austell is proud to present 'Keayapalooza,' an evening of original music written and performed by students studying BTEC Music on Thursday 28th June at 7pm at the Keay Theatre.

There will be four acts; The Collars, Reckless Life, Joel Julian and KerriLea performing on the night, each playing their own original material in different styles of music ranging from modern pop to hard rock.

The Collars are a dynamic and powerful indie punk-rock band that have created their own blend of ‘old school’ punk aggression mixed with pop esque melodic hooks that produce raw and edgy tunes.

Reckless Life consists of five young musicians that play their own style of upbeat lively rock that will get the crowd up and dancing.

Joel Julian is an independent musician that plays the guitar, piano, drums, mandolin and banjo and incorporates a broad range of music styles into his songs.

Kerrilea is a female artist that will bring the crowd a dance/hip hop vibe combined with rap.

Cecil Du Valle, Course Manager for Performing Arts, said: “The evening is a chance for the students to showcase their musical talents and high quality work they have produced over the year.

“People can look forward to a thrilling night of raw talent, performed by some great new Cornish talent.”

Tickets are £4/£3 for concessions and are available from The Keay Theatre box office 01726 226777 or online at www.thekeay.co.uk. The acts will also have their EPs, written and recorded by themselves, on sale on the night priced at £3 and £4.

Dave Linnell, Principal of Cornwall College, said: “The Keay Theatre is an absolutely fantastic space and the students get invaluable experience performing their work to a live audience. As for many of them this will be their last time performing with us, I wish them all the best for their future’s ahead.”
