As the global tourism environment embraces sustainable practice this course enables tourism businesses to examine the practical application of sustainable management principles in a tourism context. It also develops an understanding of planning for tourism provision. Through examination and discussion of case studies the course will support tourism practitioners in devleoping the skills and knowledge necessary to deal with rapidly changing tourist expectations of sustainability at local, national and international levels.

This course is for anybody working in a tourism related environment who is interested in developing their knowledge and understanding of sustainable development and how best to implement sustainable practices into their organisation.
There are no specific requirements for this qualification but this is a degree level short course and will be assessed accordingly therefore a good standard of literacy is essential.
